Parking in Senoia…

Whether you're a business owner, patron, or a neighbor to Senoia's Main St. merchants, parking in a historic downtown can be an important consideration.

Most historic districts were fully developed long before parking was an issue.  The greatest challenge to revitalizing them is the constraint put on merchants and their customers by a severe lack of parking.  The only option is for people to park where they shouldn't, or avoid the area entirely, leading to ongoing confusion, congestion, and frustration.

That's why Historic Development Ventures is working closely with the City of Senoia to handle this challenge proactively to ensure that ample parking is available for Senoia's downtown today, and for years to come.

Parking Lot... or Park?

Parking lots in Senoia's historic district are being designed and built to ensure they are environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing, using extensive landscaping, low lighting, and pervious paving surfaces that absorb stormwater and actually grow grass.

They are strategically located to allow easy access to Main Street merchants, while providing residents a natural botanical buffer from the downtown.

If you're thinking of making Senoia's quaint historic district your new home, or a home for your business, you can rest assured that parking won't be problem.  In fact, the only problem related to parking in Senoia might be in mistaking parking lots for parks.
